Al Khaleej Saihat Dominates Al-Fayha at Home
Saihat, Saudi Arabia – In a match played at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium, Al Khaleej Saihat powerfully defeated Al-Fayha in the second round of the Pro League. From the start, the home team showed their intention to take all three points. J. King opened the scoring in the 5th minute, after an excellent assist from P. Rebocho, establishing an early lead.
Al-Fayha struggled to react, but was held back by Al Khaleej’s solid defense. The match intensified with several fouls, resulting in yellow cards for A. Bamsaud of Al-Fayha in the 25th minute and for M. Al Hawsawi of Al Khaleej just before halftime.
The second half continued with Al Khaleej controlling the pace of the game. D. Kourbelis extended the lead in the 64th minute, thanks to a precise pass from K. Fortounis. Al-Fayha tried to respond, but their efforts were frustrated. F. Sakala received a yellow card in the 48th minute.
In the final minutes, Al Khaleej sealed the victory with a goal from P. Fernandes in the 90th minute, again assisted by P. Rebocho. Al Khaleej Saihat dominated possession with 52%, generating 14 shots, of which 5 were on target. Al-Fayha, on the other hand, had 48% possession and made 9 shots, with only 2 directed at the goal. Referee Abdullah Al-Owaidan had a busy afternoon, showing several cards during the match.
