Al-Jazira Edges Out Dibba Al Hisn in Close Abu Dhabi Encounter
Al-Jazira secured a 2-0 victory over Dibba Al Hisn at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The match, part of the round 18 of the 2024 UAE Pro League season, took place on February 28th, 2025. Al-Jazira dominated possession (65%), but their clinical finishing in front of goal proved decisive.
Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities (19 shots, 6 on target), Al-Jazira failed to break the deadlock until late in the game. A missed penalty by Elneny in the 70th minute proved to be a key moment. However, Vinicius Mello eventually converted a penalty in the 90th minute to open the scoring, and another goal followed in the final seconds to secure the win.
