Al-Ittihad FC Cruises to Victory Over Al-Ettifaq in Jeddah
Al-Ittihad FC secured a dominant 4-1 victory over Al-Ettifaq in a thrilling match at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. The game, part of the Saudi Pro League’s 29th round, was a high-scoring affair punctuated by yellow cards.
Vitinho put Al-Ettifaq ahead early in the 5th minute, assisted by Wijnaldum. However, Al-Ittihad FC swiftly responded. Pereira equalized in the 11th minute, assisted by Benzema, who later scored a goal of his own in the 35th minute. Aouar added another goal in the 45th minute, giving Al-Ittihad a comfortable lead at halftime. Despite an own goal by Pereira in the 83rd minute, Al-Ittihad FC controlled the game. Al-Ittihad finished with significantly more shots on target (6 to 1). While Al-Ettifaq held more possession (52%), Al-Ittihad’s clinical finishing proved decisive. The match saw three yellow cards for Al-Ittihad and one for Al-Ettifaq. Georgi Kabakov from Bulgaria officiated the game.
