Al-Ahli Jeddah Edges Out Al-Hilal Saudi FC in Thrilling 3-2 Victory
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al-Ahli Jeddah secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Al-Hilal Saudi FC in a captivating match at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena. The game, part of the 2024 Pro League’s round 23, was marked by intensity and yellow cards, with two issued to each side.
Ivan Toney led the charge for Al-Ahli Jeddah, scoring a hat-trick. His first goal came in the 47th minute, assisted by Gabriel Veiga. Toney extended the lead in the 53rd minute, thanks to an assist from Galeno. Al-Hilal fought back with goals from Salem Al Dawsari (74th minute, assisted by Malcom) and Marcos Leonardo (83rd minute, penalty), but Toney’s third goal in the 87th minute, once again assisted by Veiga, sealed the victory for Al-Ahli Jeddah.
Despite Al-Hilal’s 64% possession and 15 shots (3 on target), Al-Ahli Jeddah proved more clinical, converting 3 out of 6 shots on goal. The match was officiated by Irfan Peljto from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
