Al-Ahli Jeddah emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against Al-Qadisiyah FC at the Al Inma Bank Stadium in Jeddah. The match, part of the Saudi Pro League’s round 22, concluded with a 4-2 victory for the home side.
Despite having less possession (37%), Al-Ahli Jeddah proved more clinical in front of goal. Ivan Toney starred with two penalty goals, in the 11th and 51st minutes. Mohammed Sulaiman also found the back of the net for the hosts in the 27th minute. An own goal by Nicolás Fernández in the 42nd minute added further drama.
Al-Qadisiyah FC, enjoying 63% possession, fought until the end, managing to score two goals. Jhonny Quiñones pulled one back in the 48th minute, assisted by Cristian Puertas. However, a comeback proved elusive. The match was a tense affair, with a total of five yellow cards shown to players from both teams.
