Al-Ahli Jeddah Triumphs Over Al-Gharafa in Thrilling AFC Champions League Match
Jeddah, February 17, 2025.- Al-Ahli Jeddah secured a convincing 4-2 victory over Al-Gharafa in a thrilling AFC Champions League encounter at the Al Inma Bank Stadium at King Abdullah Sport City. The match, part of the group stage, round 8 of the AFC Champions League, was characterized by the home side’s efficiency and the visitors’ persistence.
Al-Gharafa took an early lead with a 6th-minute penalty converted by Joselu. However, Al-Ahli Jeddah responded with a flurry of goals before halftime. I. Toney (21′), R. Firmino (34′), and Galeno (44′) put the Saudi team 3-1 ahead. A penalty converted by R. Mahrez in the 59th minute extended the lead to 4-1.
