Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam played an exciting match at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam this Saturday, April 27th, 2025, corresponding to matchday 30 of the Eredivisie. Despite dominating possession (65%) and taking significantly more shots (26 to 13), Ajax only managed to score one goal in the dying moments of the game.
The match was characterized by tension, with three yellow cards shown: Van Aanholt and Kitolano for Sparta, and Rugani for Ajax. Sparta, despite having less possession, proved effective in their few chances. Sparta’s goal arrived in the 90th minute, thanks to Nassoh assisted by Clement, a goal that gave the visiting team a bittersweet point, as Regeer had previously equalized for Ajax, also in the 90th minute.
