Bolton Secures Victory in a Hard-Fought Match in London
London, England – In a match corresponding to matchday 30 of League One, Bolton Wanderers defeated AFC Wimbledon at The Cherry Red Records Stadium. The match, refereed by A. Humphries, was characterized by a disputed and tactical game.
The only goal of the match came early, in the 13th minute, when C. Blackett-Taylor, assisted by J. McAtee, sent the ball into the back of the net for Bolton.
Although AFC Wimbledon controlled 46% of the possession and tried to create danger with 13 shots, none of them managed to seriously trouble the opposing goal. Bolton, with 54% of the possession, was more effective in front of goal, with 16 total shots, 6 of them on target.
