AFC Hermannstadt convincingly defeated Uta Arad 3-0 in a match played at the Stadionul Municipal in Sibiu, Romania. The game, part of the Liga I relegation round, saw Uta Arad hold more possession (53%) but ultimately lacked the finishing touch.

Cristian Negut opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, assisted by Tiberiu Goncalves. Ten minutes later, Stefan Bus doubled the lead, also assisted by Goncalves (43′). Iulian Stoica added a third in injury time (90′).
