Thielmann, who received a yellow card in the 34th minute. Preußen Münster pulled one back with a T. Hubers own goal in the 39th minute, but Köln responded before halftime with a penalty converted by L. Waldschmidt (45′). In the second half, D. Downs extended the lead for the home side in the 56th minute, thanks to an assist from Waldschmidt, securing the victory for 1.FC Köln. The match was marked by Köln’s superior shot accuracy (7 on target compared to 4 for Preußen Münster). Despite having fewer corners (5 to 11), the home team demonstrated clear superiority in the game. Preußen Münster also received a yellow card in the closing stages.
