Mainz Cruises to Victory Over Heidenheim in Tense Bundesliga Match
FSV Mainz 05 secured a convincing 2-0 victory over 1. FC Heidenheim at the Voith-Arena in Heidenheim an der Brenz. The match, part of the 2024 Bundesliga’s 22nd round, saw Heidenheim control possession (56%), but Mainz proved more clinical in front of goal, scoring twice in the second half.
Jonathan Burkardt opened the scoring in the 29th minute, assisted by Aaron Caci. Nicolas Weiper added a second in the 49th minute, again with Burkardt providing the assist.
