Thailand Defeats India in International Friendly
Pathum Thani, Thailand – In a friendly match held at the Thammasat Stadium, Thailand secured a convincing victory over India. The match, part of the International Friendlies, saw Thailand dominate at key moments despite an even ball possession split (50% for each team).
The opening goal came early, in the 8th minute, courtesy of B. Davis, who capitalized on an excellent assist from K. Tasa to put the home side ahead. The score remained unchanged until the second half, when P. Arjvirai extended the lead in the 59th minute.
Although India showed greater offensive initiative with 18 total shots (3 on target and 6 off target), compared to Thailand’s 7 (3 on target and 3 off target), they failed to convert their opportunities. The visitors also surpassed Thailand in corner kicks, with 8 compared to 2.
The match remained clean in terms of cards until the final moments, when W. Kanitsribampen of Thailand received a yellow card in the 90th minute. Despite the high number of fouls committed by Thailand (13), the score remained favorable for the home side until the final whistle.
