Remo Edges Out Vila Nova in Thrilling Belém Match
Remo secured a victory over Vila Nova in a thrilling match played at the Estádio Estadual Jornalista Edgar Augusto Proença in Belém, Pará, on May 14th, 2025. The game, part of round 7 of the Brazilian Serie B, saw Remo triumph despite having less possession (39% to Vila Nova’s 61%).
Marcelinho opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, assisted by A. F. Rodriguez Armoa. Vila Nova, with 16 shots (only 4 on target), pushed for an equalizer but a goal by Adailton was disallowed for offside in the 40th minute. The second half saw yellow cards for Camutanga (Remo) and Gustavo Paje (Vila Nova). Regis sealed the win for Remo in the 80th minute, assisted by Kadu Santos. The final score was 2-0 to Remo, who despite receiving three yellow cards, controlled the latter stages of the match to claim an important home win.
