Atlético Grau defeated Alianza Lima 1-0 in a thrilling match at the Estadio Nacional de Lima. The game, corresponding to matchday 12 of the Peruvian Primera División (Apertura 2025), was marked by the expulsion of an Alianza Lima player and a high number of yellow cards.
Nicolás Bandiera opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a goal assisted by F. Rojas. Despite Alianza Lima’s possession advantage (58%) and more shots (17 to 12), Atlético Grau defended resolutely. Alianza Lima’s lack of accuracy in their shots (only 3 on target) proved costly. A goal by Hernán Barcos was disallowed for offside. The red card to R. Garcés in the 58th minute after a second yellow severely hampered Alianza Lima’s chances. Although Barcos scored late in the 86th minute, it was insufficient for a comeback. The referee was E. Ordóñez. Atlético Grau showed greater efficiency and takes the three points.
