Paks falls to Ferencvarosi TC in a thrilling match
Paks suffered a 2-3 defeat against Ferencvarosi TC in a thrilling match played at Paksi FC Stadion on May 10th, 2025, corresponding to matchday 31 of the Hungarian NB I. The game was characterized by its intensity and cards, with Paks finishing the match with one player less.
Gyurkits opened the scoring for Paks in the 28th minute, thanks to an assist from Mezei. However, Ferencvarosi TC responded with goals from Szalai in the 57th minute and Joseph in the 72nd minute, both assisted by Abu Fani, to turn the game around. Hinora managed to pull one back for Paks in the 89th minute, but Joseph sealed the victory for Ferencvarosi in the 90th minute with an unassisted goal.
The match was full of cards. Paks received four yellow cards and one red card, while Ferencvarosi TC only received one yellow card. Despite being a man down, Paks showed determination and created goal-scoring opportunities, although Ferencvarosi TC dominated possession (59% to Paks’ 41%).
