Uta Arad Edges Out Farul Constanta in Thrilling Encounter
Ovidiu, Romania – In a thrilling match played at Ovidiu’s Stadionul Central, Uta Arad defeated Farul Constanta 2-1 in the 8th round of the Romanian Liga I Relegation Round. Despite Farul dominating possession (69%), Uta Arad proved more clinical in attack.
Zsori opened the scoring for Uta Arad in the 26th minute, and Tzionis extended the lead in the 50th minute. Farul Constanta pulled one back in stoppage time thanks to a goal from Alibec in the 90th minute. The match was marked by tension, with two yellow cards for each team, and a red card for Uta Arad’s Zsori in the dying moments. Despite their superiority in possession and shots (13 for Farul, 5 on target, against Uta Arad’s 13, 6 on target), Farul couldn’t overturn the scoreline. Uta Arad’s victory solidifies their position in the league.
