Zenit Dominates Nizhny Novgorod in Convincing Victory at Gazprom Arena
St. Petersburg, May 4, 2025 – Zenit St. Petersburg secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Nizhny Novgorod on Saturday in a matchday 27 clash of the Russian Premier League. The game, played at the Gazprom Arena, was characterized by the home side’s complete dominance.
Zenit controlled 75% of the possession, attempting 24 shots on goal, 5 of which were on target. Despite their superiority, the opening goal didn’t arrive until the 54th minute, courtesy of Aleksandr Sobolev. Sobolev would strike again in the 83rd minute, sealing the victory for his team.
