Grenoble defeated Estac Troyes 3-1 in a thrilling match at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble. The game, corresponding to matchday 33 of the 2024 Ligue 2 season, was dominated in possession by the visiting team (67%), but Grenoble proved more clinical in front of goal. The home side’s goals came early, with J. Benet (28′) and E. Sylvestre (35′) opening the scoring. J. Olaitan extended the lead from the penalty spot in the 50th minute, although he later received a yellow card. N. de Preville pulled one back for Troyes, also from the penalty spot, in the 55th minute. Despite Troyes’ territorial dominance, with 16 shots (4 on target), Grenoble’s efficiency with their 15 shots (4 on target) secured them the victory.
