Coritiba Triumphs Over Operario-PR in Thrilling Curitiba Match
Coritiba defeated Operario-PR 2-0 in an exciting match at Curitiba’s Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira, as part of the fifth round of the 2025 Brazilian Serie B championship. Despite Operario-PR’s dominance in possession (59%), Coritiba proved more effective in attack.
Gustavo Coutinho opened the scoring in the 19th minute, assisted by Zeca, and Josué extended the lead in the 45th minute with an assist from Coutinho. The match was marked by tension, with a total of 26 fouls and 4 yellow cards distributed between the two teams: three for Operario-PR (Gabriel Feliciano, Jacy and Indio, and one for Joseph) and one for Coritiba (Wallisson).
