Kilmarnock Triumphs Over Ross County in Close Encounter at Rugby Park
Kilmarnock secured a 2-0 victory over Ross County in a hard-fought match at The BBSP Stadium Rugby Park on April 26th, 2025. The Premiership fixture, part of the 2nd Phase – 1 round, saw Kilmarnock emerge victorious despite Ross County enjoying 59% possession.
Blair Anderson opened the scoring in the 36th minute, assisted by Danny Armstrong. Ross County received two yellow cards, to Matthew Efete and Ewan Campbell, before Liam Donnelly doubled Kilmarnock’s lead in the 69th minute, once again with Anderson involved in the build-up. Kilmarnock’s clinical finishing proved decisive, as they managed 13 shots (3 on target) compared to Ross County’s 9 (1 on target).
