Olimpia Dominates Possession but Peñarol Holds Firm in Goalless Draw
Asunción, Paraguay – In a vibrant match played at the Estadio UENO Osvaldo Domínguez Dibb, Olimpia and Peñarol played to a goalless draw in a CONMEBOL Libertadores 2025 group stage match. Despite dominating possession (63%), Olimpia failed to convert their numerous scoring chances, registering 18 shots (8 on target). Peñarol, with 37% possession, put up a strong defensive display and created fewer opportunities (8 shots, 3 on target).
