Reading triumphed over Mansfield Town in a thrilling match at the One Call Stadium in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The game, part of the 2024 English League One’s 44th round, ended with a convincing 5-1 victory for Reading.
Reading took the lead in the 35th minute with a goal from J. Wareham, assisted by K. Ehibhatiomhan. Early in the second half, an own goal by G. Williams extended Reading’s advantage. L. Wing scored Reading’s third in the 58th minute, assisted by C. Savage. Mansfield Town managed to pull one back in the 62nd minute with a goal from K. Baccus, assisted by L. Reed. However, Reading responded with two more goals. J. Wareham scored again in the 74th minute, and B. Bodin sealed the victory in the 90th minute.
