Troyes Triumphs Over Clermont Foot in Hard-Fought Match
ESTAC Troyes secured a victory over Clermont Foot in a thrilling Ligue 2 match at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied in Clermont-Ferrand. Despite Clermont Foot dominating possession (70%), Troyes emerged victorious with a 2-0 scoreline in the Round 31 fixture.
Two second-half goals decided the match. M. Diop broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, assisted by C. Irie. N. de Preville extended the lead in the 59th minute, with I. Boura providing the assist.
Clermont Foot, despite registering 14 shots (5 on target), failed to find the back of the net. The match was a physical encounter, with Clermont committing 10 fouls and Troyes 13.
