Panathinaikos defeated PAOK with a convincing 3-1 victory in a thrilling match at the Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis in Athens, corresponding to the third round of the Championship Round of the Greek Super League 1. The match, refereed by Felix Zwayer (Germany), was marked by tension, with a total of seven yellow cards handed out to both teams.
Panathinaikos took the initiative early on, with goals from Abdelhamid Ounahi in the 33rd and 42nd minutes, showcasing great efficiency in front of goal. Kacper Swiderski extended the lead in the 50th minute, sealing a dominant first half. Despite PAOK’s greater possession (59%), the home team showed more decisiveness in attack, with 9 shots (4 on target) compared to PAOK’s 8 (2 on target). Giannis Konstantelias’ goal in the 78th minute only served to improve the final score.
