FC Liefering defeated SV Kapfenberg 2-0 in a match played at the Red Bull Arena in Wals-Siezenheim on April 11th, 2025, corresponding to matchday 23 of the Austrian 2. Liga. The game, officiated by Philip Gadler, was characterized by Liefering’s territorial dominance, controlling 57% of possession. Although scoring chances were scarce for both teams (7 for Liefering, 5 for Kapfenberg), Liefering’s efficiency was key. The goals arrived in the second half: Lukic opened the scoring in the 70th minute, assisted by Murillo, and Diakite extended the lead in the 74th minute. The match was interrupted by several yellow cards: two for Liefering in the first half (Paumgartner and Schuster), one more for Zikovic and Murillo, and one for Prohart in the second half. Kapfenberg also saw a yellow card to Prohart in the final minutes. Despite the superiority in possession and goals, Liefering wasn’t particularly incisive in attack (only 1 shot on target).
