Muangthong United Secure Victory in Thrilling Encounter Against Nakhon Pathom
Nakhon Pathom and Muangthong United played a thrilling match at the Nakhon Pathom Municipality Sport School Stadium this Saturday, March 30th, in the 27th round of the Thai League 1. The match, which ended 4-2 in favor of Muangthong United, was characterized by high intensity and goals from both sides.
F. Tierney put Nakhon Pathom ahead in the 11th minute, but Muangthong United quickly responded with goals from A. Otakhonov (14th minute) and K. Khamyok (24th minute), both assisted by P. Arjvirai. Nakhon Pathom managed to equalize before halftime thanks to a goal by V. Filipovic (31st minute), assisted by E. A. Phumipha. However, P. Arjvirai scored just before the break to put Muangthong United 3-2 up.
In the second half, K. Tasa sealed the victory for Muangthong United with a goal in added time (90th minute), assisted by W. Chaikultewin. The match was marked by tension, with seven yellow cards handed out between both teams. Although Nakhon Pathom had 48% possession and 14 shots (5 on target), Muangthong United’s effectiveness, with 52% possession and 14 shots (7 on target), was decisive for the win.
