Kyrgyzstan and Qatar played an exciting match at the Stadion im. Dolena Omurzakova in Bishkek on March 25th, 2025, as part of the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers. The game, refereed by Muhammad Nazmi Bin Nasaruddin from Malaysia, ended with a 3-2 victory for Kyrgyzstan.
Despite having slightly less possession (46% vs 54%), Kyrgyzstan showed greater offensive efficiency. V. Kichin opened the scoring in the 45th minute. Qatar responded with a goal from A. Suhail in the 52nd minute. The red card shown to Lucas Mendes in the 56th minute shifted the momentum of the game. Kyrgyzstan took advantage of their numerical superiority and scored two more goals, from A. Mishchenko in the 82nd minute and A. Shukurov in the 90th minute. A. Shukurov also received a yellow card in the 66th minute. Previously, E. Zarypbekov (27th minute) and Pedro Miguel (45th minute) received yellow cards for Kyrgyzstan and Qatar respectively. Qatar, with less accuracy in their shots (9 shots, 4 on target), could not overturn the score despite Suhail’s early goal.
