Viborg pulled off a stunning upset against FC Copenhagen in a thrilling match at the Energi Viborg Arena. Despite FC Copenhagen dominating possession (57%) and having more shots (18 to 13), Viborg FF secured a convincing 4-2 victory.
G. Gocholeishvili opened the scoring for FC Copenhagen in the 26th minute, assisted by P. Hatzidiakos. J. Larsson extended the lead in the 41st minute, with an assist from W. Clem. However, Viborg FF responded strongly. Serginho scored in the 48th minute, assisted by S. Kuzmic, igniting the home crowd.
Viborg completed their comeback in the second half. S. Radic (61st minute) and A. Ementa (66th minute), both assisted by Serginho, scored crucial goals to turn the game around. Serginho was the key figure in Viborg’s attack. FC Copenhagen, despite their efforts, couldn’t recover. Despite superior possession and shots, their lack of finishing proved costly. The match ended 4-2 in favor of Viborg, who demonstrated great attacking efficiency. Both teams received one yellow card each.
