Sparta Rotterdam and PEC Zwolle Draw in Thrilling Rotterdam Encounter
Rotterdam, March 15, 2025 – Sparta Rotterdam and PEC Zwolle played out a thrilling 1-1 draw at the Sparta-Stadion Het Kasteel in the 26th round of the Eredivisie. Despite Sparta Rotterdam’s dominance in possession (59%), the match remained evenly poised throughout.
PEC Zwolle took the lead in the 48th minute through a goal from O. Aertssen. However, Sparta Rotterdam quickly responded, equalizing in the 51st minute with a goal from T. Lauritsen.
Sparta Rotterdam created more scoring opportunities, registering 13 shots (5 on target), compared to PEC Zwolle’s 8 shots (3 on target). Corner kicks also favored PEC Zwolle 4 to 1.
