Leipzig, Germany – RB Leipzig defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in a vibrant Bundesliga match played at the Red Bull Arena on March 15th, 2025. Despite Borussia Dortmund dominating possession with 66%, Leipzig proved more effective in front of goal.
The goals came in the 18th minute, thanks to a goal by X. Simons, assisted by B. Sesko, and in the 48th minute, scored by L. Openda, also assisted by Simons. X. Simons was the key figure of the match with two assists and a goal.
Dortmund, despite shooting 24 times (8 on target), couldn’t overcome Leipzig’s solid defense. Despite the dominance in possession and shots, Dortmund failed to convert their chances, while Leipzig showed contundency in finishing.
