Girona defeats Espanyol in a tense match at Cornellà-El Prat
Girona triumphed over Espanyol with a 2-0 victory at the RCDE Stadium in Cornellà de Llobregat, in a La Liga matchday 27 encounter. The match, officiated by Adrián Cordero Vega, was characterized by tension and multiple yellow cards.
Espanyol initially controlled possession, but Girona proved more efficient in front of goal. Jofre scored the opening goal in the 49th minute, assisted by U. Gonzalez.
