St. Louis City SC defeated the LA Galaxy 3-0 in a commanding performance at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on March 9, 2025. Despite the Galaxy’s significant possession advantage (70%), it was the visiting team that dominated the scoreboard thanks to clinical finishing.
The match was unlocked in the 44th minute with a goal from Christian Teuchert, assisted by Eduard Löwen. Just five minutes into the second half, Morten Hartel doubled St. Louis City’s lead, again assisted by Teuchert. The final 3-0 scoreline was sealed in the 84th minute by Sebastian Becher, assisted by Kyle Hiebert.
The Galaxy, who managed 22 shots (8 on target), couldn’t break down St. Louis City’s resolute defense. Despite having less possession (30%), St. Louis City displayed impressive attacking efficiency and controlled the game effectively.
