Al-Ahli Jeddah fought back from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 against Al Khaleej Saihat in a thrilling match at the Prince Abdullah al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah. The game, part of the Saudi Pro League’s 24th round, was characterized by its intensity and the number of yellow cards.
Al Khaleej Saihat took a surprising early lead by capitalizing on defensive errors by Al-Ahli. An own goal by S. Al Hamsal in the 30th minute gave the visitors the advantage. Then, right before halftime, A. Al Salem and F. Martins scored in the 45th minute to make it 2-0 for Al Khaleej.
However, Al-Ahli responded in the second half. A goal by Galeno in the 90th minute, assisted by F. Al Buraikan, reduced the deficit. A late goal secured the draw for the home side. Despite dominating possession (61% vs 39%), Al-Ahli had 16 shots (5 on target), while Al Khaleej managed 7 (3 on target).
