Millonarios Edges Out Tolima in Thrilling Campín Encounter
Bogotá, D.C. – Millonarios defeated Deportes Tolima 2-0 in a thrilling match at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín, corresponding to matchday 7 of the Primera A – Apertura 2025. Despite Tolima’s superior possession (65%), it was the Blues who capitalized on their chances.
The match started with an early goal from J. Valencia in the 7th minute, assisted by D. Ruiz. Tolima had a goal disallowed in the 20th minute by VAR. However, Millonarios faced adversity from the 55th minute onwards with the red card to J. N. Arevalo Chaparro.
Despite playing with a man down, Millonarios showed great efficiency, and in the 88th minute, J. E. Cordoba Mosquera scored the second goal to seal the victory. The match was characterized by Tolima’s superior number of shots (21 vs 7 for Millonarios), and more corners (9 vs 4). Millonarios committed 12 fouls, receiving one yellow and one red card, while Tolima committed 7 fouls without receiving any cards. Despite Tolima’s pressure, Millonarios defended effectively and managed to secure three points in an intense match.
