OFI Crete convincingly defeated Lamia in a match played at the Stadio Thódoros Vardinoyánnis in Heraklion, corresponding to matchday 25 of the Greek Super League 1. The match, refereed by Alexandros Tsakalidis, ended with a 3-0 victory for the home team.
OFI dominated possession (63%) and had more shots on target (15 shots, 4 on target), demonstrating a clear superiority. T. Nuss opened the scoring in the 25th minute, assisted by B. Gonzalez. An own goal by G. Giannoutsos in the 46th minute extended OFI’s lead. The rout was completed in the 84th minute with a goal from B. Gonzalez, assisted by A. Jung.
Lamia, despite having 5 shots on target, failed to overcome OFI’s defense and was outplayed in almost all aspects of the game. The match ended with a yellow card for Lamia’s D. Chantakias.
