Aldosivi defeated Sarmiento Junín in a thrilling match played at the Estadio José María Minella in Mar del Plata. The game, corresponding to the 8th matchday of the first phase of the 2025 Argentine Professional League, ended in a 2-2 draw.
The home side started with a blistering start. In the 3rd minute, Emanuel Torres opened the scoring with an assist from Jonatan Giani. Seven minutes later, Facundo Rami extended Aldosivi’s lead, assisted by Rodrigo Gonzalez. However, Sarmiento Junín reacted and pulled one back in the 23rd minute with a goal from Ignacio Morales. Before half-time, Víctor Burgoa equalized for the visitors in the 37th minute.
The second half was more even, although with fewer goals. Both sides received yellow cards: Aldosivi received two and Sarmiento three. Despite Aldosivi’s territorial dominance (53% possession), and a higher number of shots (18 to 11), the match ended in an exciting draw. Aldosivi had more accuracy in shots on target (11 to 3) and more corners (5 to 0).
