Viborg and Silkeborg played a thrilling match in round 19 of the Danish Superliga, held at the Energi Viborg Arena in Viborg on February 24th, 2025. The match, refereed by Michael Tykgaard, ended in a convincing 4-1 victory for Silkeborg.
Viborg took the early lead in the 5th minute with a goal from I. Nasberg, assisted by Serginho. However, Silkeborg responded strongly, equalizing in the 30th minute through M. Larsen, assisted by R. Ostrom. Before halftime, Y. Bakiz put Silkeborg ahead (37′), assisted by A. Klynge.
In the second half, Silkeborg dominated, significantly outshooting Viborg (17 shots to 2). R. Ostrom (83′) and C. McCowatt (87′) added two more goals, sealing a 4-1 win for Silkeborg. Despite a 50-50 possession split, Silkeborg’s attacking efficiency proved decisive. Viborg received one yellow card, while Silkeborg remained without any cautions.
