Once Caldas secured a victory over Rionegro Águilas in a match played at the Estadio Alberto Grisales in Rionegro, Antioquia. The game, corresponding to the sixth round of the Colombian Primera A, ended with a 1-0 score in favor of the white team. Despite Rionegro Águilas having greater ball possession (62%), Once Caldas showed more effectiveness by scoring a goal in the 65th minute, thanks to a shot by Miguel Barrios, assisted by Juan Alejandro Zapata Ramírez.
