Aris Thessalonikis and Panathinaikos played an exciting match at the Stadio Harilaou Kleánthis Vikelídis in Thessaloniki on February 9th, 2025, corresponding to round 22 of the Greek Super League. The match, refereed by Harm Osmers from Germany, ended with a 2-1 victory for Aris Thessalonikis. Although Panathinaikos controlled more possession (58% vs 42%), Aris proved more clinical in front of goal. Kike Saverio opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, assisted by Monchu. Panathinaikos struggled to create clear-cut chances, managing only two shots on target compared to Aris’s five. Luis Morón extended the lead for the home side from the penalty spot in the 50th minute. Panathinaikos pulled one back, but couldn’t complete the comeback. Aris, despite accumulating three yellow cards, secured an important win thanks to their greater efficiency and attacking prowess. The intensity of the match was evident in the 24 fouls committed between both teams.
