Al-Hilal Edges Damac in Thrilling Encounter
Abha, Saudi Arabia – Al-Hilal Saudi FC secured a 3-2 victory over Damac in a captivating match at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium. The game, part of the Pro League’s 19th round, was a rollercoaster of emotions until the final whistle.
Marcos Leonardo gave Al-Hilal the lead in the 32nd minute, assisted by R. Neves. However, Damac responded with a goal from H. Diallo in the 50th minute, assisted by G. N’Koudou, leveling the score. Diallo would score again in the 73rd minute, assisted by F. Kamano, putting the home team in front. Despite a missed penalty by Neves in the 58th minute, Al-Hilal’s dominance in possession (70%) and shots (21 shots, 10 on target) shone through, with Milinkovic-Savic scoring the winning goal in the 77th minute, assisted by S. Al Dawsari.
The match saw a flurry of yellow cards, with Damac receiving three (Al Anazi, Bedrane, Al Subiani) and Al-Hilal receiving four (Tambakti, Neves, Cancelo, Malcom). Al-Hilal also had a goal disallowed by VAR for Milinkovic-Savic. Despite the tension and numerous cautions, Al-Hilal managed to secure three valuable points in a thrilling match.
