Mafra and Marítimo played a thrilling match at the Estádio Municipal de Mafra this Sunday, December 8th, at 3:30 PM, corresponding to matchday 13 of the Portuguese Segunda Liga. The match, refereed by Carlos Macedo, ended with a victory for Marítimo.
Mafra took the early lead with a goal from M. Fale in the 2nd minute, assisted by F. Etim. However, Carlos Daniel equalized for Marítimo in the 41st minute. The second half was even more exciting. Euller put Marítimo ahead in the 67th minute, but F. Etim equalized for Mafra in the 72nd. In the final minutes, drama unfolded with a Marítimo goal disallowed by VAR in the 80th minute and a penalty converted by Euller in the 90th minute, securing the win for Marítimo. The match was marked by tension, with two yellow cards for Mafra (D. Beni and M. Fale) and a red card for B. Passi at the end, in addition to a yellow card for Marítimo’s Ibrahima.
