CSKA Moscow defeated Rubin Kazan 3-0 in a match played at VEB Arena in Moscow on November 30th, 2024. The game, corresponding to matchday 17 of the Russian Premier League, was marked by CSKA’s dominance in possession (70%) and shots on target (7 compared to Rubin’s 2). Rubin started aggressively, accumulating three yellow cards in the first half for Jocic, Iwu, and Kabutov. M. Daku and E. Teslenko gave Rubin a 2-0 lead with goals in the 43rd and 52nd minutes, but Kabutov received a second yellow card, resulting in a red card in the 65th minute. From then on, CSKA took complete control. M. Lukin scored twice, in the 63rd and 90th minutes, to secure the victory for the Moscow team. Rubin received two further yellow cards, while CSKA only received one.
