TP Mazembe’s Possession Dominance Fails to Yield Victory as MC Alger Wins 2-1 in Tense Encounter
Lubumbashi buzzed on November 26th with a thrilling CAF Champions League clash between TP Mazembe and MC Alger. Despite controlling possession (60% to MC Alger’s 40%), TP Mazembe couldn’t translate their dominance into goals. MC Alger, displaying greater efficiency, secured a 2-1 victory. The match was marked by tension, evident in the numerous fouls committed by both sides (12 by TP Mazembe and 11 by MC Alger) and three yellow cards for the Algerian team (Abdellaoui, Ramdane, and Draoui).
