Universitatea Craiova Edges Past Uta Arad in Low-Scoring Affair
Arad, Romania – Universitatea Craiova secured a 3-1 victory over Uta Arad at the Stadionul Francisc von Neuman on Sunday, November 25th. Despite dominating possession with 70%, the visitors struggled to find the back of the net with accuracy. Uta Arad, controlling only 30% of possession, took the lead in the 18th minute through a goal by A. Fabry, assisted by C. Mihai. However, Universitatea Craiova fought back, scoring goals through J. Lukic in the 68th minute and a penalty converted by A. Mitrita in the 82nd minute. Mitrita also had a key assist to his name during the game. The match was punctuated by yellow cards, with Uta Arad receiving four and Universitatea Craiova receiving two. Despite a similar number of shots (8 each), the difference in accuracy proved decisive for the away team’s victory.
