Deportivo Cuenca edged out Libertad with a narrow 1-0 victory at the Estadio Alejandro Serrano Aguilar Banco del Austro. The match, part of round 14 of the 2024 Liga Pro second round, saw the home side claim the win. Despite having less possession (58% for Deportivo Cuenca compared to 42% for Libertad), Deportivo Cuenca scored a decisive goal in the 62nd minute, courtesy of D. Luna with an assist from L. Mancinelli. Libertad managed two shots on target but couldn’t find the equalizer. The game was a tense affair, with a total of 18 fouls and three yellow cards – two for Libertad (D. Bolaños and L.
