Rayong FC Edges Out Nakhon Pathom in Thrilling Thai League 1 Encounter
Rayong, Thailand – Rayong FC secured a 2-3 victory over Nakhon Pathom United in a captivating match at the WHA Rayong Stadium on Saturday, November 23rd. The game, part of the 2024 Thai League 1 season’s 14th round, saw Nakhon Pathom dominating possession (53%), but Rayong FC proved more clinical in front of goal.
Y. Namuangrak opened the scoring for Rayong FC in the 10th minute, assisted by R. Ito. Nakhon Pathom responded with increased pressure, resulting in yellow cards for J. Phupha and T. Nakarawong within the first 20 minutes. Rayong FC extended their lead before halftime through another goal from R. Ito in the 46th minute, assisted by A. Boodjinda.
Nakhon Pathom fought back in the second half, scoring two goals through Valdo (67th minute) and K. Phutchan (74th minute) to level the score. The second half was punctuated by several yellow cards for both teams. Ultimately, Nakhon Pathom couldn’t complete the comeback.
