Iraq secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Oman in a tense match at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat. The game, part of the 6th matchday of the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers third round, saw Y. Amyn score the only goal in the 36th minute, assisted by A. Yasin. The match was a physical affair, with four yellow cards shown; H. Al Saadi and A. Hussein for Oman, and M. Doski and A. Attwan for Iraq. Oman enjoyed more possession (56%), but Iraq proved more clinical in front of goal, managing two shots on target which proved decisive.
