Honduras Upsets Mexico in Thrilling Nations League Encounter
San Pedro Sula, Honduras – In a pulsating match at the Estadio Francisco Morazán, Honduras defeated Mexico 2-0 in the 2024 CONCACAF Nations League quarter-finals. Despite Mexico dominating possession (62% to 38%), Honduras proved more clinical in front of goal. Honduras registered ten shots, five on target, compared to Mexico’s four on target. Yellow cards went to three Mexican players, compared to zero for Honduras.
