Charlton dominates Bromley in EFL Trophy clash
Charlton beat Bromley 1-0 in an EFL Trophy match held at The Valley in London. The home side dominated the game, with 69% possession and 7 shots, one of which was on target.
The only goal of the game came in the 70th minute when M. Leaburn capitalized on a pass from G. Docherty to make it 1-0. Charlton had to fight against yellow cards, as N. Asiimwe and M. Gillesphey received yellow cards in the first and second halves respectively.
Bromley, on the other hand, couldn’t generate any danger in front of Charlton’s goal. The visitors had only one shot, which was on target, and had 31% possession.
Despite the victory, Charlton will need to work on improving their offensive play. The team had a few clear chances, but they couldn’t make the most of them. Bromley, for its part, will have to find a way to create more attacking danger if they want to get more positive results.
