Al Shabab defeats Al Riyadh in a thrilling King’s Cup clash
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al Shabab emerged victorious against Al Riyadh with a 2-0 win in a thrilling Round of 16 match of the King’s Cup, held at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium. The match, played on October 28, 2024, saw a tightly contested battle where Al Shabab ultimately proved superior on the scoreboard, despite Al Riyadh’s relentless efforts.
The first goal arrived in the 37th minute, when H. Camara, assisted by C. Guanca, put his team in the lead. Al Shabab continued to dominate possession and create more scoring opportunities, while Al Riyadh defended resolutely. In the second half, both sides made substitutions in search of a goal, but it was G. Bonaventura who sealed the victory in the 90th minute with a powerful finish.
